Aberaeron

Another fantastic day, decided to take a trip to the beach, took a picnic lunch, low cal of course (oh yeah, whoopee do, I lost a pound this week! Actually not so bad as I thought, as I looked back on the calendar, and I've lost 5lbs in 5 weeks, which is not too terrible I suppose) Anyway I digress.

At the top of the hill, before descending down to the town, there was thick fog and I very nearly turned round and headed back down the coast the other way, but then thought sod it, I'm here now, I'll take a look round the shops and just a short walk, but once I got down there, I was glad I'd carried on, cos it was gorgeous.

I took a couple of photos of the Hotel that is being used for the S4C programme I watch every week now, called Teulu, and also the Doctor's surgery house across the other side of the harbour. I just took a photo off the telly to compare, I didn't notice before that they change the name for the programme. I love the show, and it's interesting to hear so many words (it's in Welsh) that obviously don't have a Welsh alternative, and they say them in English. One word that cracks me up is the "F" word, I fall about because they actually say the word, but the subtitles put f*** lol.

Anyway, Emma had a nice time in the sea, took some photos of some Sandpipers I think, not too good on sea birds and I don't have time to look them up right now. Edit now I've had time to look in me book, they appear to be Turnstones.

Came home and finished off the cuprinoling of the fence panels, I did the panels yesterday, but not the posts which needed a fresh coat. Sausage was singing away to me in the tree in next door's garden whilst I was out there. It was so warm, I couldn't believe it. A photo of my thermometer, taken at 4.30 pm shows 22c! In the sun of course, but wow or what, I mean this is the beginning of February! Bring it on I say. Trouble is my grass needs cutting already....

Just told R. that it was 22 degrees there. He says "Sure, it's civilized over there." lol. That Emma, I'm sure you can't take a bad photo of her. Seems she poses for the camera.
