Ever had one of those days?

When nothing goes right?

First off, the very considerate Builder bloke who lives at the other end of our block of three bungalows started the day off nicely at 7 am banging his van door about 4 times, starting up his engine, leaving it running, with his stereo booming for about 10 minutes before he pulled away. Bloody lovely eh?

Second, I had a hair cut. Now my hairdresser is sort of a friend, I used to live opposite, have known her for 9 years. I was growing my hair, but it got really out of condition, and she cut it for me so well at the beginning of November, I took the plunge and had about 8 inches chopped off, terrified I'd done the wrong thing, but it looked great even though I say it myself. So in two months or so, it had grown a lot and needed a trim up. So I said oh just even it up a bit, about an inch off all over, I was thrilled with it last time. Well, this is the first time since I was a child that I have come home from the hairdressers and cried my eyes out. She has done the most terrible cut ever, she cut way too much off, and it looks bloody awful. I have been scalped, it's like a mullet hair cut, really short all over with long straggly bits down the back. I couldn't say anything to her, I really couldn't but I don't feel like I can ever go back there again. I am so, so upset. I may as well just chop the back off short too and go back to how it was two years ago now, a short haircut. It makes me look older and masculine and I bloody hate it. I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror at all. I certainly won't be going to the vets for a couple of months or more that's for sure if you catch my drift. I am bloody devastated. :(

Thirdly, I get back from the above, and there's a letter in the box. Says to "Careline" at my address. I open it. It's a bill for £95 which I have to sign and agree to pay, sent by the Council, for removal of that sodding metal box from my wall - yes the one that I've posted about on here before, and that was taken off the wall eventually last week, and has now been dumped by my front gate. Bear in mind here that I am a council tenant, this is a council bungalow, and I have been here for 7 years, and this letter was from - yes, the Council. I can only assume that as usual with organisations, the left hand doesn't have a clue what the right hand is doing. My fingers are itching thinking of the letter I want to send them. But I expect I will just phone up on Monday, and get an apology probably. £95 though? They've got to be kidding - to come here and take away a metal case about 3 feet square by 4 inches deep "for disposal" Nice work if you can get it. I may suggest that they send me £50 and I will dispose of it for them, and save them some money.

Lastly, I decided to go to Cross Hands shopping, different shops, something I wanted in the hyper value store that I should have bought a couple of weeks back. Anyhow, did the shopping and then went down to the far end of the estate to park up and take Emma for a walk up the lane there, done it loads of times before. So as I pull into the car park, theres a bloke following me in his car. Although there were about 15 empty spaces, he has to park in the one right next to me, about 5 inches from my door! So I thought, oh great, I will move and park somewhere else then. So I start to reverse out, and when I am positioned exactly behind him, he starts to reverse too, and almost smashed into the passenger door! FFS, I stuck my hand on the horn and he stops. He then goes forward, and gets out. So I wound the window down and said "Get me next time" He says "Pardon" I said "I was moving out of your way, couldn't you wait a minute?" He just walked off. Shit I was so mad, bloody moron. Grrrrrrrrrrr. So I am cursing and swearing away under my breath all the way up the lane with Emma! And it gets worse. I was right at the far end of the lane, about half a mile from the car I guess, and it started to piss with rain. I only had a fleece on, the wind got up and was blowing the rain right in my face as I walked back, I had to shield my eyes to see where I was going. Got bloody soaked, Emma got covered in muddy shit, so all in all I had a great time today!

Going to make a cup of tea to console myself and watch 3 hours of Lost catch up before the new series starts tomorrow! So there.

Oh yeah, and if anyone dares to laugh at this, I shall erm erm not blame them in the slightest!

Ha, ha, ha, Jan, sorry, but this is just too funny. Not to worry about the hair, it will grow out soon enough. You had a bad day all around, lol. Never mind, get yourself a nice cup of hot choccie and relax, tomorrow will probably be much better. Hugs!

Oh Jan we all have days like this. My advice with the hair is wash it a couple of times and it might look better. My hairdresser does a good cut but i am not keen on the way she styles it . it always looks better about a week later when its started to grow and has lost the newly cut look.

Its obvious that the bloke following you and then parking 15 inches away from your car wanted to meet you because he was probably thrilled by your exotic hairstyle. Really. and you discouraged the poor fellow. But it could be that he was that smelly fellow who breeds puppies so who wants to know him. But anyhow men seem to like the hair cut.

Poor Jan, what a horrible day. I really do sympathise over the hairdressers, I hate having my hair cut, I've been disappointed so many times in the past that I've now settled for a cut that it's almost impossible to do badly. The others are right though, it will soon grow!

Thanks for the commiserations folks. And no Pete, you will not get to see a photo. I don't even like my photo being taken or seen by anyone when I look half decent, let alone when I look crap!
